Avori Henderson is a model and former pageant participant turned… gamer? From a young age, she made it her goal to model professionally. Since then she has made her dream a reality and then some, taking home three titles in the Miss America Organization. In the midst of her success as a model, she began to upload her gaming abilities online and quickly gained a fan-base as a female trailblazer in that world as a full-time video game streamer and content creator. Yes, this means she plays video games for a living! Not only has she made a name for herself in the industry, but she is also a pioneer for women in this male-dominated industry.
The gaming star ran the first ever all- Female PUBG Tournament that was professionally broadcast online to 135,806 unique viewers, 166,342 live views, and 7,235 concurrent viewers. The tournament raised over $5,000 to charities including FredHutch and Children’s Miracle Network. Her ability to use her platform to give back has always been a priority with charities benefitting children being on the forefront of her efforts. Being the host, creator, and director of the PUBG tournament, she has always felt especially passionate about encouraging and empowering women to embrace their love for gaming despite the stereotypes against females in the space. Since the start of this event she has traveled all around the world promoting women in E-sports and competing in tournaments, including Sweden, France, San Diego, Los Angeles, Houston, San Antonio, Boston, and Mexico City, being the only female to be involved in the tournament, and guess what? Her team won! Since then, Avori has made the switch to Facebook gaming where she has gained over 170,000 followers in a few months of streaming on the platform.
She is currently working on her new clothing line, Styles by Avori, which launched June 12th!
When she is not streaming, modeling, and advocating for women in gaming, Avori’ s hobbies include aerial silks (she was the first ever Miss Missouri contestant to compete in aerial acrobatics as a talent), sewing, climbing and hiking.
