Nintendo has revealed the Bowser’s Fury addition to the upcoming Super Mario 3D World port for Nintendo Switch, along with a few other Mario-themed announcements.

The two minute trailer for Bowser’s Fury sees Bowser Jr. team up with Mario in an all-new, Super Mario Odyssey-style open level. Bowser Jr. can assist Mario by finding power-ups and stomping enemies while Mario collects coins and tokens, leading to a battle with a massive, new iteration of Bowser dubbed “Fury Bowser.”

Super Mario 3D World originally launched on the Wii U in 2013. The Switch port with the Bowser’s Fury expansion was announced during the Super Mario 35th Anniversary livestream in September

Nintendo also revealed a new Super Mario-themed Switch console, scheduled to release alongside Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on February 12 for $299.99. The console comes in red with a special red dock, red and blue Joy-Cons and a Super Mario-themed carrying case.

Finally, a new challenge for Super Mario Bros. 35 has been announced, tasking players with defeating 3.5 million Bowsers between 11 p.m. PT on Jan. 18 and 10:59 p.m. PT on Jan. 25. If the goal of 3.5 million Bowsers defeated is reached, any player who defeated at least one Bowser either in normal play or the Special Battle with increased Bowser appearances will earn 350 Platinum points.
